During my recent trip to Spain, I learned a few new expressions that are typical to Spain. Here goes:
chulo/a- cool
majo/a- nice, pretty, as referring to a person
¿Qué tal váis?- What's up with you all?
¿Qué os apetece?- What sounds good to you all?
¡Anda! / ¡Venga! - Come on! Let's hear it! (term of encouragement)
los alumnos- students (I use los estudiantes.)
las aulas- classrooms (I am used to las salas.)
vosotros- This is a basic difference between Latin American Spanish and el castellano. When I heard the use of vosotros, I understood it, but I was hard to use in conversations because I am so accustomed to using Uds.)
