Vocabulary- Body Parts

A way to introduce, practice or review vocabulary for body parts: Have students form a circle. Give them a ball to pass around the circle. Tell them to pass the ball using, for example, their hands (Pasen la pelota con las manos). After the ball goes around the circle, give them a different body part, like their elbows. It can get harder and goofier as the game goes on.

An adaptation of the above activity is telling one student to pass the ball with her elbows to the next student who can only use her feet. Have them say the body parts as they pass the ball.

Using the same ball, you can have students bounce the ball on a body part that you indicate. For example, if you say bounce the ball on their knee, a student will take the ball and bounce it as many times as they can on their knees saying "rodilla" each time she bounces the ball. Try to see who get the most amount of bounces.
