Audio Pal

Audio Pal (http://www.audiopal.com/) is a website that allows you to create an audio file to post on a website by phone, but text-to-speech, an audio microphone or by uploading another audio file. After you create your audio file, Audio Pal sends you an email with a link where you can "grab your widget" to post on Facebook, MySpace and other similar sites. I'm confused on how I could post it on my school website because I would not be using Facebook to connect to my students. Below I posted the page that allows me to "grab my widget." It works if I click on it, and I can preview my recording from that page. I have yet to try it on my Edline page. One upside, though: it's free!

Ways to use in the FL classroom:
1. Record a reading or upload an audio file that students have to listen to for homework.
2. Have students record themselves for homework and then have them email it to me. They can also analyze their pronunciation.
3. Instead of students presenting a conversation in class, have them record it and then email it to me to present in class. It's a great experience for students to hear themselves speak Spanish.
4. Have students find a native speaker of Spanish to record phrases or a conversation.

Here is a link to the audio file I created:
