DyKnow Webinar

I watched two DyKnow Webinars ("Pre-recording Lessons Provides More 1-on-1 time" and "10 Simple Ways to Use DyKnow"), and after I watched them, I felt excited again about DyKnow. I have been using DyKnow in my Spanish 1 & 2 classrooms, and I am at the point where it feels normal. However, I do not feel like I am doing anything different or exciting. I left the webinars with a few good ideas and reminders about features that I learned about in the summer. Here goes:
1. I can pre-record class notes with both a recording of the pen strokes and an audio. The teacher presenting the webinar pre-records a whole lesson in DyKnow with presentation of new material and practice activities. The students use the whole class period (about 40-50 minutes)to navigate through the DyKnow lesson at their own pace. Because the teacher does not have to do whole-class instruction, he is free to work 1-on-1 with students who need extra help.
2. The same teacher will give students a problem to work on their own, and then they can click play to see the correct answer and an explanation to go along with it.
3. The same teacher puts a question on the DyKnow document, and the student can go to a website to look for the answer. He inserts the link in the DyKnow document.
4. For homework, I could use the recording feature by creating an audio with a question in Spanish or a reading that they will listen to. On that same slide, they have to respond to the question or prompt.
5. The webinars reminded of the "Share Control" feature in DyKnow. I can choose which students will share control with me, and what they write on their screens will appear on my DyKnow document and therefore the SMARTBoard.
6. The teacher who presented "10 Simple Ways to Use DyKnow" said that chat works the best in small groups rather than large group.
7. I can use Monitor to show a student's screen during class.
8. Review homework by having a student do a screen capture of a certain section and have them submit the panel.
9. If I need to tell students something that is important, use Attention to make them look up from their computers.
10. I can put something in white ink, and then change the color of the type to show the students.
