The textbook series that we use (Avancemos, Holt McDougal) has great videos that accompany the textbook. They are cheesy as all textbook videos are, but they are cheesy in a way that they seem to be making fun of themselves. The students love watching the videos.
In addition to the videos that have a story line, there are also vocabulary videos that use the vocabulary from each lesson. There is an option to have pop-up bubbles appear whenever a character says a vocabulary word.
I usually use these vocabulary video to review vocabulary at the end of a lesson. I will show the video to students with the sound and the pop-up words. We will watch it again with no sound and no pop-up words, and the students will shout out the vocabulary words as they see them or remember what each character said.
