Diez

Diez is fun game that I use at all levels, and it is lots of fun. The rules are quite simple:
1. Everyone in the class stands.
2. Taking turns, the class will count to 10, with each student saying either 1 number, 2 numbers or 3 numbers. The person who has to say 10 is out so she has to sit down, and then the class starts over at 1.

Here is an example:
Lola: 1, 2
Pati: 3
Ursula: 4, 5, 6
Raquel: 7, 8
Yolanda: 9
Ines: 10

Ines is out because she was forced to say 10. It gets fun when students purposefully try to get others out because they can choose to say as many numbers as they want (up to 3, of course) to try to get some one out. All my students from Spanish 1-3 love this game. You could always do variations of this depending on what numbers you are learning.
